Summer 2008

Nita Butler made this doll for me, she was my swap partner on Glitter Town Dollys. It turned out we both love yo yos, so I made the doll into a necklace. Used the small Clover quick yo yo maker. The tee shirt I got at a bazaar for fifty cents, I added the pink yo yo to it.

It's so hot and sticky I think I'll just make yo-yos. June 28, 2008

I made the little bag from yo-yos, the third week of August

If you can't bring yourself to throw away a scrap of material you will understand this doll. Beaded Liberace completed during the heat wave of early June 2008 in NYC

Inspired by this pin cushion tutorial

I notice you like Elinor Peace Bailey.
I once met her years ago at Quilt Market in Houston. She's very nice and quite a character. Before I met her I saw her in the airport. She really had heads turning. She's over 6 ft. tall and was dressed in a long flowing vest with doll parts hanging all over it. But you probably know what she looks like. She sure is a wonderful doll maker!

Hello Larasara! Lovely blue fairy! The yoyo pockets I made are two squares sewn right sides together, turn & sew shut. Then just fold three corners in and sew together. They're meant to be reverseable, but I like to put the yoyo on and add a snap closure. Have fun!
