Lights are going up!	My interpretation of Michelle Munzone's pattern, Luscious Strawberry. It appeared in the January 2010 edition of Soft Dolls & Animals.
	This cardholder was made from 12 x 12 inch cardstock. The instructions are from Bridget Larsen's site.
This is a sarubobo doll. I got the pattern from Mairuru's blog The instructions are here. The microbeads are attached with a double stick tape that is called O'So Sticky and is sold by pennywisearts. Today, October 25, 2009 a Michaels opened in Manhattan. Here is the story of my visit. The store is located on Columbus Avenue near 100 St. I took the 1 train to 103 St. The 231 St. station is where I began my trip.	This is the 231 St. Station looking south toward Manhattan. The mural you see is above Lot Less, a store with a little of everything including craft supplies and clothes.
I got off the train at the 103rd St. station and walked to 100 St., then I turned east. This was the view, two blocks to walk to Columbus.	Around the corner from Michaels.
The blue balloons mark the entrance to Michaels. It's in the basement. You take an escalator to reach the selling floor. The aisles are too narrow, typical of stores in NYC.	This unfinished building is across the street from Michaels. The overpriced apartment boom is bust.
Walking back to Broadway along 100 St., I spotted this Fall Festival across Broadway. This was a special event, primarily dedicated to children. An entire city block closed to traffic and dedicated to children's crafts.	On the same block as the festival was this ping pong studio. I understand it was founded by someone who was a ping pong champion in China.
